What is Yoga?
Yoga is a spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures. It is widely practiced for health and relaxation.
At Om-stead Yoga Community, we believe that yoga is about connection. Connection to our own body, our breath and to our community.
What class format works best for you?
We have several yoga instructors that teach at our studio. Each bring their own style of training to our yoga classes. We encourage you, the students, to practice with all of our instructors as you will benefit from each instructor. Eventually you may find the instructor that you connect with the most and helps you grow in your own practice, but we're fairly certain you will love them all!
All of our yoga classes are taught for all levels of students so that anyone can attend and be successful in any class. Some formats may be a bit tougher than others, but you're always welcome to modify or take child's pose.
